19 years old, bold and ambitious, Leo Corbett stows-away on Terra Venture, never imagining what is in store
for him. When we first meet him he seems like a good-hearted, but misled and rather troublesome boy.
Which is pretty much correct. But there is much more to the fun-loving Leo than it seems at first. He is
extremely compassionate and determined, unable to sway when he is hit with a conviction. He goes through the portal to Mirinoi
alone after Mike and Kendrix to help Maya, at first confident but then realizing he can't do it on his own.
His big brother is hard on Leo and expects a lot, but the two are very close. When Mike pushes Leo out of
the way and falls down an opening in the ground, Leo is devastated. But he does his best to carry on as the red ranger in
Mike's stead, determined to make himself someone Mike would have been proud of.
Leo gets into many mishaps throughout the series, especially in the beginning. He doesn't like responsibility
or rules, and hates being told what to do. But he always comes through for the team, and takes on many of their problems--
usually head on. At first he is just concerned with doing Mike proud, but then he starts becoming a ranger in himself and
really grows as the leader of the team.
When the Magna Defender comes, Leo is the only one who believes there is any good in him, and doesn't give
up on him throughout his stay. Leo's trust pays off and the Magna defender comes around, sacrificing himself, and freeing
Mike.
When Mike returns, Leo tries to give him back the quasar saber, as it was rightfully his. But it is obvious
he really doesn't want to. Mike refuses, and then learns that he has a different destiny as the next Magna Defender. Leo is
thrilled to be able to stay on.
Throughout the rest of the series Leo grows a lot, but still stays Leo. He is heart-broken when Kendrix
dies but accepts Karone readily, and then in the end he makes the greatest sacrifice, his life to save the colony.
Thankfully, he survives and though he is battered, he is relatively well. Kendrix returns and they
all celebrate on the new world, Leo right in the middle of it all.
